My name is Annette. I am a Christian, a Wife, a Mother, a proud Grandma, a supporter of MADD, a Girl Scout Troop Leader and a doTERRA Wellness Advocate. I love spending time with my family, cooking, decorating, gardening, finding deals and new ways to keep my family and friends healthy. Most of all, I am working on refining who I am.
What changed in my life to make me want to refine who I am? On July 24, 2005, my life was changed forever. A drunk driver took the life of my 17 year old son and his best friend.
It has taken me several years to come out of my shell. For years I kept looking at a picture taken just two weeks before this horrible event. I kept saying “I want to be her again”. Well, I have finally determined that I will never be “her” again. Will the pain ever be over? Absolutely not but I have learned to manage the hurt and how to continue in my new life.
The purpose of this blog is to share things that refine my life. I will be passing along family fun events, deals, freebies, recipes, some of my new and old passions and some of the things I am doing to get healthy (physically and mentally).
I will also re-blog others bloggers posts (I am not an expert in anything and I am always willing to learn and share). I’m not a writer or a poet. I’m just sharing what interest me. I want to learn, share, give and grow.
I am the PROJECT! I am no longer looking to be who I once was. Instead I am working on refining who I am today.
I’d love it if you could go along this journey with me as I refine my life, my purpose and my place.
