Whether it’s your first turkey or your twentieth, this class will teach you what you need to know to prepare a delicious, moist turkey on Thanksgiving day. From brining to using flavorful rubs, from knowing when your turkey is done to carving the turkey for a beautiful presentation, this class will be your guide. Whole Kids Cooking Class

Whole Foods features a Whole Kids Cooking Club twice a month, my kids always enjoy this class. This focus of this hands-on class is for kids create simple to make dishes using healthy, colorful fruits and vegetables while having fun.  This month’s classes features spooky fun Halloween treats.

Saturday, October 25, 2014: It’s almost time for trick or treating so let’s make some delicious Halloween treats! We will be decorating delicious Halloween cookies with spooky and fun designs. Suitable for ages 5-13 – kids are welcome to preview their costume!

On Guard Pumpkin Smoothie

Fall is officially here! Here’s a smoothie recipe that will boost your families immune system and promote healthy habits.

This delicious On Guard Pumpkin Smoothie provides all the flavors of Fall. My girls love it and I feel great about giving them this healthy treat.



1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
2 frozen bananas
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie seasoning
2-3 drops On Guard Protective Blend
1 cup ice


Combine all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth.

Note: For a garnish, add some whipped cream and pumpkin pie seasoning.

Makes 4 servings.
