ANAHEIM, Calif. (KTLA) — Preparations are underway for Orange County’s largest annual Thanksgiving Day feast.
15,000 guests are expected to enjoy the We Give Thanks dinner in the Honda Center parking lot Thursday.
Volunteers are preparing food at the Anaheim Convention Center and the Hilton and Marriott hotels for the 25th annual Thanksgiving Day dinner from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
More than 1,500 volunteers are helping to prepare and serve the meals.
We Give Thanks was founded more than 20 years ago by Frank Garcia to help those in need in the greater Orange County and Los Angeles areas.
Garcia began his Thanksgiving Day tradition by serving a free dinner to families in need in the parking lot of his family owned restaurant, La Casa Garcia.
Each year the number of persons increased and soon surpassed 15,000.
