The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity inspires joy and innovation in people of all ages, energizing them to transform their lives, their communities, and society as a whole. The best way to tap into the creative energy that dwells inside us is to trust our minds & hands and NOT overthink the process. Whether it’s watching a cartoon or your child at play, we hold onto these moments through pictures, sounds & feelings, that we store away as brilliant memories. Chuck Jones would do the same thing, only he would recall those memories and express them through his art.

Storytime at the OC Zoo

OCZoo

The OC Zoo is a great Zoo located within Irvine Regional Park in the city of Orange.

The zoo has plants and animals that are native to the Southwestern United States, including deserts, mountains, coniferous forests, chaparral/oak shrub lands, grasslands and coastal sage scrub.

The OC Zoo give you the opportunity to up close to the animals, they range from wild to domestic. Zoo animals include: black bears, mountain lions, bald eagles, island foxes, ocelot, red-tailed hawk, great horned owls, porcupines, coyotes, turkey vultures, reptiles and a goat petting zoo.

Many of the animals here were injured or overly dependent on people, making it impossible for them to be released back to their environment.

wpid-wp-1408408127205.jpegWe where there a couple of weeks ago for a Chuck Jones Event, I just love the big trees and overall cozy feel of this zoo.

wpid-wp-1408408131094.jpeg

While your walking around the zoo, zoo keepers are also walking around with some the zoo animals for you to view and pet. The zoo keepers are all very friendly and informative.

Story time events are nestled in a corner of the zoo, under a huge tree where the you and kids sit on logs. It’s gorgeous.
