OCGreat Park_garden4Kids

October is Art Month: A Gardener’s Palette

This FREE workshop’s focus is on the amazing forms, colors, and textures of nature have inspired people throughout the ages to create some of the most beautiful pieces of art ever produced.  Come and see examples of these masterpieces and learn why nothing sparks the imagination or stokes creativity better than a garden.  Afterwards, let the budding artist inside you bloom while you create your own brilliant work of art using a mix of mediums and materials.

Where: OC Great Park

When: Sunday, October 12, 2014

Time: Workshops are offered every half hour from 11:00am – 1:00pm.

The workshop is 20 minutes of a sit down interactive presentation followed by a craft and planting activity, all ages welcome.

A garden is a perfect backdrop for exploring the ways in which the natural world impacts every aspect of our daily lives.  This new set of fun and engaging STEAMM inspired topics are sure to delight and inspire young and old alike, so please join us.

This program is produced  and presented by the City of Irvine’s Community Services Urban Agricultural Programs Division, and is supported by volunteers from the University of California’s Cooperative Extension Master Gardener program and Irvine Youth Action Team.
